how to clean a egr valve on a 94 camaro v6 3.4

  1. Default 3.4

ok indeed my bros 93 3.4l camaro runs alike crap at idel, its really rough and is at almost 1.5k, equally soon every bit you get on information technology though it is rattling responsive and when crusing information technology runs well, steping on information technology yeilds no waver, decealing from about 55 mph yeilds an EGR encrypt, unpluging the EGR and swaping them out yeilds aught, anyone else enconter this problem?

  2. Default

The egr passage is clogged, happens to every 3.4, its a infliction to cleansed out to a fault. Take away the thermionic tube off clean that and then clean the passage in the intake. You'll have to contain off the throttle valve body to really clean IT.

  3. Default

Got bored so there you get along.

thigh-slapper, couldn't have said/shown it any advisable myself.

Your idle sounds similar another issue since EGR has no set up there.

You may want to test/replace your IAC or TPS sensors.

Yea, IAC is something you should look into as advisable, same he said. It mightiness just need to be cleaned.

hmmm asymptomatic thanks for that simply i dont think thats the problem seeing every bit how the code and bone-lazy happened at the same time, is it possible a musical composition of carbon got cragfast in one of the EGR things on the EGR solenoid and is safekeeping it admissive causing extra air to be going into the consumption when the electronic computer doesnt know the pose coming in thinking the EGR is closed causie the bad idle and EGR code?

  7. Default

Consider me, I've ne'er ran into a 3.4 that has had that passage clean. If it is thick on that point will be nothing departure through information technology. I'm almost 100% that doing what was said wish solve the trouble. The idle problem is standing most likely the Iac valve. I make plenty of experience with the 3.4s. If you don't believe me jump the egr valve and the out of work should driblet alot, merely if its clogged it won't change at all.

Netherworld I bet if you disconnected the egr hose from the plenum and turned the gondola along you wouldn't feel any suck from the plenum since its probably clogged

Agreed, if there's one affair that's even worse than the intake design happening the 3.4s it's the egr system.

all right good i dont think thats the problem still cuz we had the upper and lower intake turned, washed and cleaned them and artificial them about 5k miles agone and information technology started running bad about 3k, im pretty sure the EGR transit was cleaned when it got hot tanked, could information technology have filled up in 2k miles?
