Taika Waititi pirate comedy serial publication adds five new cast members
HBO Max's unexampled pirate comedy series Our Flag Means Death has added cinque actors to its upchuck to join Taika Waititi and Rhys Darby.
Ewen Bremner, who played Spud in Trainspotting and has more recently had roles in movies like Wonder Woman and First Overawe, is Buttons. Frequent Waititi collaborator St. David Fane is Fang, while Cruella star Joel Nipper will play Frenchie, and Guz Khan, who's set to star in US Army of the Dead prequel Army of Thieves, is Ivan. Finally, Matt Maher, who's appeared in movies like Marriage ceremony Story and Captain Wonder, will play Fatal Pete.
Set in the betimes 18th Century, Our Flag Means Death will be loosely supported the echt adventures of Stede Cowling (played by Darby), a moderately loaded landowner WHO suffers a midlife crisis and becomes captain of Revenge, a pirate ship. Waititi will play infamous pirate Blackbeard in the series, atomic number 3 well As executive producing and guiding the pilot film.
Garrett Basch, whose early projects include What We Make in the Shadows (the FX series supported Waititi's 2014 movie of the same name) and The Night Of starring Riz Ahmed, is too an executive manufacturer. More recently, Waititi has been in use leading the MCU subsequence Thor: Love and Thunder, and he has performing roles in the approaching movies Free Guy and The Suicide Squad (although his character in the latter has even to exist disclosed). Plus, he's producing the FX serial Reservation Dogs, working on a new show with What We Do in the Shadows pardner Jemaine Merciful, and he has a Star Wars movie on the style, too. Phew.
